Your privacy is very important to EaseMyEducation, and we work hard to make sure. The EaseMyEducation Platform's policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your personal information are described in this privacy statement (the "Privacy Statement").
The Information We Collect
We get data through the EaseMyEducation Platform directly from people, indirectly from third parties, and automatically from EaseMyEducation.
Account and Profile Information: We retrieve your name, contact information (including your phone number), demographic data, and other information you provide, such as topics you are familiar with or find interesting, as well as the searches you have conducted on the EaseMyEducation Platform, when you create an account and profile there. You can make your personal information private by changing your setting options, but your name, photo, and any other details you want to include in your public profile will be visible to the public and other users of the EaseMyEducation Platform. Once you've created a profile, others will be able to see information about your activity on the EaseMyEducation Platform, including the questions and answers you post, your followers and who you follow, topics of interest to you, the credentials you list, your list of mentees if you decide to become a mentor, and your content edits. Your Content: We gather the details and information you submit to the EaseMyEducation Platform, such as your searches, queries, responses, images, and comments. The EaseMyEducation Platform makes your content, date and time stamps, and all associated comments accessible to the general public.
Communications. We will contact you using your contact information (via email, phone, text message, through the EaseMyEducation Platform or otherwise). We may keep a record of any communications you have with us (whether by phone, text message, email, through the EaseMyEducation Platform, or in another way). You agree that EaseMyEducation may use your contact information to get in touch with you by providing your information to us.
Integrated Service Provider and Linked Networks. You can link your current EaseMyEducation account to specific external social media platforms, such as Twitter or Google (each a "Linked Network"). The EaseMyEducation Platform also offers the option of signing up or logging in using a Linked Network. We obtain specific profile and account information about you from the Linked Network if you choose to register through or connect a Linked Network. You might also list these Linked Networks in your profile so that people can find you there. You and those Linked Networks decide what precise information they will provide to us, and this information may change from network to network. The information being shared is always described on the Linked Network's permissions page. For details about their procedures, you should see their individual privacy policies. You can choose to import your contacts to the EaseMyEducation Platform to find and connect with them there, or you can choose to use information from the Linked Network to fill out your profile. Engagement. We gather browsing information about users' activities on the EaseMyEducation Platform as well as on third-party websites and services that have integrated our EaseMyEducation pixels ("Pixels"), widgets, plug-ins, buttons, or related services. This information includes IP address and location, date and time stamp, user agent, EaseMyEducation cookie ID (if applicable), URL, unique advertising or content identifiers (if applicable), and time zone.
How We Use Your Information
Your name and contact details are among the personal data we do not sell to outside parties for their own marketing uses. The following uses of the data we gather are made by EaseMyEducation:
Provide our Services. To deliver the services we offer on the EaseMyEducation Platform to you, to make the EaseMyEducation Platform available to the public, to communicate with you about your use of the EaseMyEducation Platform, to address your questions, to offer troubleshooting, and for other customer service objectives.
Personalization. In order to customize your experiences while using the EaseMyEducation Platform, we may send or display content and information that is tailored to you in the EaseMyEducation Platform. We may also suggest followers and content, assist others in finding your profile, offer location customization, provide individualised help and instructions, and in other ways enhance your experiences.
Advertising. To show you interest-based advertising on the EaseMyEducation Platform, to pre-fill forms in ads, to measure the efficacy and reach of ads and services, to enhance our advertising and measurement systems so we can show you relevant ads. Marketing and Promotions. For marketing and promotional reasons, including sending you special offers and promotions and contacting you in other ways about products or information we believe will interest you, including details about goods and services provided by third parties.
Analytics. To assess and improve the EaseMyEducation Platform, including the Ad Services and personalization, collect metrics to better understand how users access and use it, and to create new goods and services.
Comply with Law. In order to fulfill our legal duties, as part of our standard company operations, and for other administrative needs.
Prevent Misuse. Where we deem it necessary to do so in order to look into, prevent, or act in relation to illegitimate activities, fraud suspicions, scenarios that pose a risk to the safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.
